Permission marketing? 7 a.m. this morning and my wake up call in The Millenium Madejski Hotel consists of an advert for an airline. Not sure who but they wanted to tell me how nice it was to fly to Asia and the Far East with them. Who dreamt this up? At what stage in a coffee and gin-fuelled meeting did this seem like a good idea? "I know let's sell advertising space in hotel wake up calls. Guests will love to hear about our offers just as they are thrown out of bed by the 'phone". Sheesh.
